Our History
Founded in 1986 as Colorado Used Tubulars, CTAP initially operated as a full-service used pipe company in the DJ Basin. Over time, it evolved into the largest privately owned Oil Country Tubular Goods (OCTG) distribution company in the US. In February 2019, CTAP, LLC. was acquired by Sooner, Inc., making it a wholly-owned subsidiary of Marubeni-Itochu Tubulars America, Inc., providing the commitment and capital needed to support customer drilling programs.
In 2020, CTAP expanded further by establishing a standalone Midstream Division, delivering top-quality products for pipeline projects nationwide.
